Eco Earth Warriors Kenya is an annual National event that seeks to personify Kenya’s Tourism strengths through pageantry with a national participation of talented young ladies exhibiting a passion for marketing their Counties and Nation both locally and internationally.
The platform was inspired by an ideal to showcase Kenya’s unexplored and unacknowledged cultural diversity to the world and more importantly to Kenyans themselves.
The journey to Season 2 started in city of Mombasa with season 1 in 2013, where eco earth hosted 11,000 thousand people at the finale with live television coverage of 11million viewers on the local channel K24. This led up to the 2016 finale in Vihiga County, also with an attendance of 8,000 people and live television coverage of 15million viewers on both KBC and K24. This created considerable cultural awareness within the country.
These events holds enormous benefits for both counties, the country as a whole and the contestants. The business community benefitted a great deal; from the hotels being fully booked to the food and beverage vendors selling out their stocks many times over.
The contestants on the other hand gained huge personal benefits from the event, such as; individual publicity, world travels for those who went on to participate in international competitions, talent development, employment opportunities, etc.
The country also benefitted from the amount of awareness generated locally, regionally and internationally about Kenya’s tourism sector and cultural diversity, awareness about the country’s wildlife and national parks, the tribes and peoples of Kenya, the beautiful beaches that spread throughout the coastal region, the captivating landscape and grandeur of the Rift Valley, etc.
